Composite Resin

At Crown Dental, we see many patients who want to improve their smile while also addressing underlying dental health concerns. This particular patient came to us looking for options to enhance the appearance of her teeth and take care of some problem areas that were beginning to cause discomfort.

Upon examination and review of her photos, we noticed white lesions near the gumline on several teeth. These are known as cervical lesions, which commonly occur due to tooth decay, aggressive brushing, or enamel erosion. Left untreated, they can worsen over time, leading to increased sensitivity, decay progression, or even structural damage to the tooth.

After reviewing her clinical findings and discussing her goals, we talked about several treatment options. Our goal was to find a solution that was not only effective, but also conservative and esthetic. That’s why we recommended composite resin bonding as the ideal approach for her case.

Composite resin is a tooth-colored material that bonds directly to enamel and dentin. It allows us to reshape and restore areas of the tooth with minimal drilling and no need for crowns or more invasive treatments. In this case, it provided a natural, seamless look while protecting the teeth from further damage.

The results speak for themselves—not only does her smile look healthier and brighter, but the restored areas are now protected from future decay. Most importantly, the patient was thrilled with the outcome.
